DIY Lace Trim Shorts^^
Annyeong Everyone^^
Here Is A Step By Step Tutorial On How To Create These Lace Trim Shorts To Give Your Old Shorts A Makeover For The Summer^^
What You Will Need~
- Lace (Preferably A Long Strip & A Colour You Would Prefer, I Chose White)
- A Pair Of Shorts (I Chose Some Old Denim Ones That I Don't Really Wear)
- Fabric Glue (I Used The E-6000 Glue, and it works like a dream^^)
- Scissors
- Measuring Tape
~Step1
- Measure All the Way Round The Length Of The Leg Of Your Shorts, You Can Do It Around The Outside Or The Inside:
~Step2
- Measure Out The Length Of The Leg Of Your Shorts On The Lace Material And Add 2-3cms Then Cut The Needed Length:
~Step3
- Flip Your Shorts Inside Out:
-Step4
- Measure The Lace Against The Leg Of The Shorts To See If The Lace Can Go All The Way Around: (If It Doesn't Re-Cut Another Piece Adding A Few More Centimetres)
~Step5
- Using Your Glue Squeeze A Line Close To The Bottom Of Your Shorts (On One Side Of Your Shorts!)
~Step6
- Place Your Lace Strip Onto The Glue (You Can Place It However Far Down You Want According To How Much Of The Lace You Want To Be Showing For The Final Product)
~Step7
- Use Your Fingers To Gently Pat Down The Lace Onto The Glue:
~Step8
- Wait For The Glue To Dry Before Flipping The Shorts Over And Repeating The Steps 5-7. If There's Any Excess Lace Just Use Your Scissors To Cut It Off (Make Sure Both Of The Ends Of The Lace Meet Before Cutting Of Any Excess):
~Step9
- Then Repeat This Onto The Other Leg Of The Shorts, Make Sure The Length Of The Lace Showing Is The Same (Or It Could Be Different, Whichever Floats Your Boat Of Course ^^)
~Tadaaa This Is The Final Look:
